The Peacebuilding Project seeks to reduce social conflict and violence, as well as improve social cohesion, peace building and peace consolidation in the Western Highlands region of Guatemala by strengthening relations between communities and other stakeholders to consolidate the social fabric and increase peaceful coexistence; and strengthening governmental and non-governmental actors at the municipal, departmental and national levels to increase capacity and understanding of local dynamics through participatory processes.
